What is the secret to making a great impression? At Iconic Orthodontics, we use our intraoral digital scanner to ensure the most accurate orthodontic results. You can watch a digital model of your teeth created before your eyes.
Our hand-held intraoral scanner takes 3-dimensional digital video impressions with speed and precision. Even challenging cases can be scanned with a great degree of detail.
Instead of bulky trays filled with a gooey molding substance, the scanner uses a small, hand-held wand to create an impression of the teeth and gums. The images it captures are processed into a 3D surface model using software. These can be used to create a series of custom aligner trays or help us diagnose and treat your bite problems (malocclusions).
Most patients report that the scan is very comfortable and does not stimulate the gag reflex.
When we complete your scan, you will be able to view the impression on the monitor along with us and better understand your treatment.
